I got super curious and once again I’m subject to conformity. For those of you who don’t know, go to a search browser and search for "(insert your name here) needs." I found about ten really good ones. I didn't get many results with Deidra, so I used Dee as well.

Public Apology

I would like to sincerely apologize for being absent for "random day thursday." I let u down in my faithful random blogness. i will be forever sorry. Although it isn't the same because it is Saturday, I will still leave u with a random note:
Sometimes i feel like a pumpkin. i think it's the hair.

Well okay then.

I was really bored this weekend and randomly decided to audition for this community musical called "Winter Wonderettes." With a small cast of four woman, I really wasn't expecting much. Honestly, i just needed to get out of the house. Well, i got a callback for Tuesday evening and well.. guess what?? I'm in a show!! I totally didn't expect this, especially because there is some acting involved and frankly my acting sucks..lol. I can already tell you that the show is extremely cheesy. We don't sing with piano accompaniment, we sing along to cd tracks and yeah.. they are pretty amazing!
the show opens the friday after thanksgiving(nov 25), and will continue every weekend until December 18th at Lakewood Community Theatre. Hope you can come!!

Woah

I was doing my laundry at the laundry mat when i worked up an appetite(this is not unusual). across the street is this place called "Fat Moes" and i now that i've discovered it, i'm gonna become a fat moe. they got some ginormous burgers and they are fantastic. they also have shakes(which will be my next endeavor the next time i do my laundry) and when you order a value meal, your drink is 32 oz!!! i drank 32oz of root beer. drinking pop(okay yes i'm northener and we call it pop, and i refuse to call it anything else!!LOL) in these large quantities is surprisingly not normal for me, but it was tasty!!!!!!! yay for fat moes!!!
did u ever notice that the majority of my blogs are about food????...lol. me likee food. i should've named my blog "me likee food blogger" haha!!

Finally Fall

Is it anyone else relieved that it's finally fall?? It's a rainy, overcast chilly day and yet i'm really okay with that. the air is somehow cleaner and soon the colors will change!! i love the fall.

I like weird crap. I like it when my hot cocoa is not completely stirred. I like day old popcorn. I like cold, leftover thanksgiving stuffing right out of the ziplock bag. Yep…I like weird crap.

It's a country song waiting to happen...

I always get irritated when i go through an artistic dry spell. Up until today, it has been a good while since i've written any new material and suddenly i think that all the songs before were flukes. It's a challenge. It's not like singing where you can be persistent and keep trying until you get right. My stubbornness works against me. You can't just make inspiration, it comes to you. ( how profound of me...lol)
Similar to many occasions. inspiration came while i was driving today. i had just got off the phone with my pal, jess, to whom i was ranting, again, about my unfortunate roommate situation (don't think i need to go there....lol) when it all hit me. i need to write a song about aaron!!! within seconds i had a hook. i was walking around walmart, also known as walfart, singing it so i wouldn't forget it. hehe.
i've been writing for about six years, but it has taken awhile before i was comfortable giving myself the "songwriter" title. it was an endeavor i pursued in order to have something to fall back on. thus, in the beginning i had very little confidence in any creation. now, like singing, it's a wonderful, emotional outlet. i don't write songs for other people anymore, i write them for me. maybe once i finish this song i won't feel like i need to consistently complain and vent about aaron:) i may have to write a more than one.....
