haha! it's CARE-UH-MUL!!!! you are sooo wrong. dan knows what's up.
Depends on the audience/purpose.
We have brought up this very question at Starbucks. For instance, we call out across the room, "Triple Venti Care-a-mel Machiatto" for the sake of annunciation, to make sure the order is clear. However, when refering to the sauce or syrup we usually just say "Car-mull". Mostly, I think, because we're lazy. I think the 3 syllable pronunciation is correct.
